Welcome to this month’s update, where we round up the latest developments across the private rented sector. The Renters’ Rights Bill has now passed Committee Stage in the House of Lords, with Report Stage expected in early June. Royal Assent may follow before the summer recess. An autumn implementation now looks unlikely, though late 2025 or early 2026 remain possible. We’re monitoring progress closely and will keep you updated as key provisions are confirmed. From May 2025, new regulatory requirements mean all letting agents must carry out sanctions checks on clients and tenants.
